On this 4th of July, we wanted to take the time to acknowledge an exciting change in Central PA. For the first time since the Civil War, Dauphin County is blue! That's right—the majority of voter registrations in Dauphin County are now Democratic.

At the Hirsh campaign, we are thrilled by this news. It is great to see more and more people taking a stand and registering to vote—as Democrats.

Right now, people are just tired. We're tired of politics as usual in Washington D.C. and in Harrisburg. We're tired of having to pay as much for gas as we pay towards our mortgages. We're tired of having to fight for good health care when our families get sick. We're tired of having our kids not get the books that they need at school. And we are tired of so-called leaders who have the power to bring us the change we need, but don't fight for us.

We have heard the word "change" a lot this year because our communities need change. People are registering as Democrats because they know that Democrats will fight for this change. At all levels of government, Democrats will fight to fund our schools fully, improve access to affordable health care, and revitalize our local economy.

In our race for the State Senate, we see this excitement for change every day as we go out into neighborhoods all across this district. That's why we are working hard to make sure that the Central Pennsylvanians can get the change we need.
