JUDY HIRSH ANNOUNCED HER “COMMUNITY-DRIVEN CAMPAIGN” TO A CROWD OF OVER 100
Harrisburg, Pa. – On Sunday, June 1st, the Judy Hirsh campaign celebrated the start to their general election campaign with a Community Campaign Kick-Off barbeque event attended by over 100 people. At this event, Hirsh announced that her campaign would be “community-driven” and would participate in community-service based projects throughout the campaign.
The event included an introduction by Mary Isenhour, the Executive Director of the Pennsylvania Democratic Party. Rob McCord, the Democratic nominee for State Treasurer, also attended and spoke in support of Judy. Calling her “a super mom” with a diverse background of experience, McCord urged all those attending to get involved with Hirsh’s campaign.
Hirsh was also joined by local elected officials including Harrisburg City Council member Brad Koplinski and Susquehanna Commissioners Frank Lynch and Diane Bowman. Other attendees to this open event included Hirsh campaign volunteers, members of the Dauphin County and York County Democratic Parties, and other community members.
“I have always been a leader in this community. I will not be a partisan senator who does not understand the problems of the Harrisburg region. It is important that I continue to lead and give back to this community during my campaign and not wait until I am elected. My campaign will serve the community through projects in different neighborhoods,” said Judy Hirsh.
Hirsh announced the first campaign project, a food drive to benefit Downtown Daily Bread, which will culminate on Saturday, June 28th with campaign volunteers going door-to-door to collect food in downtown Harrisburg.
Judy Hirsh is a Democrat from Susquehanna Township and has been a community leader for over 20 years. The married mother of three children, she is also the owner of a family-owned small business in Harrisburg.
