Judy Hirsh has been a community leader in Harrisburg for over 20 years. After earning a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Penn State, Judy settled in Harrisburg and began her service to the community as a budget analyst for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. After graduating from the Dickinson School of Law, Judy practiced business law in Harrisburg.
As a small-business owner in Harrisburg, Judy is an active part of the economic life of Central Pennsylvania. She's seen the effects of the rising costs of health care first-hand, and knows what it takes to balance a budget and create family-sustaining jobs.
Judy has passionately worked to improve education here in Central Pennsylvania. As the Board President of the Londonderry School, she led a $2.5 million effort to expand and develop the school's facilities and programs, including the construction of the community's first "green," environmentally-sustainable education center.
Whether serving on the board of the Harrisburg Humane Society, where she works to prepare the organization for future development, or in her various roles in the Harrisburg Jewish community, Judy has always been an advocate and partner for change in Central Pennsylvania.
A working mom, Judy lives with her three children (Max, Ali, and Jack) and her husband, Larry, in Susquehanna Township.
